A place to slow down, reflect, and reconnect
Welcome to Noosa Psychology and Schema Therapy
Therapy is not simply about reducing symptoms — it is about understanding patterns, making sense of emotional experiences, and building a more grounded and meaningful life.
At NPST, we aim to create a space that feels calm, safe, and genuinely human. We recognise that reaching out for therapy can feel difficult, and we strive to make the process approachable and collaborative from the very beginning.
Our work integrates Schema Therapy with evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, mindfulness, and somatic approaches.

Meet Dr Karina Rune

At the heart of NPST is Dr Karina Rune, a Clinical Psychologist with advanced training in Schema Therapy.
Karina has worked across private practice, public hospitals, and university settings, supporting people experiencing trauma, chronic illness, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions.
Her work is informed by Schema Therapy and how early life experiences, coping patterns, relationships, and emotional habits shape wellbeing over time.
Karina draws on evidence-based practice while remaining thoughtful, compassionate, and attentive to the needs of each individual.

Taking the Next Step
Starting therapy can feel daunting. We aim to make the process as simple and comfortable as possible.
We offer an optional brief, free phone consultation for new clients who would like an opportunity to ask questions before booking.
NPST acknowledges the Gubbi Gubbi people, the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work and live, and pays respect to Elders past and present.
